Do you have a story to tell?
Maybe it's your family's story, your memoir, or your business experience. Perhaps you want to reach out with self-help,
or put to paper a fictional idea you've been carrying around.
Maybe you just can't finish that book you started so long ago,
and you need a little help.
The problem is, you aren't a writer. Contrary to what many people think, not everyone can write. And out of those who can write, few are publishable by traditional publishing houses.
A ghostwriter works with you to develop, write, and edit your book. The work is based on interviews done with you as well as with additional research and materials you supply. Through interviews, the ghostwriter gets a feel for your "voice"--the magical difference authors inject into their novels--and uses it to write a book you'll be proud to call your own.
And it will be your own. You are the "author." When the book is complete, everything about it will be your property,
including the copyright and all profits. (Some ghostwriters retain percentages, but I do not.)
Ghostwriting fees range from $10,000 Cdn to $50,000 Cdn, depending on the project.
I also run my own successful editing business and
have worked with dozens of authors from around the world.
I might be exactly the kind of person you need
to ghostwrite your book.

Why hire me as your Ghostwriter?
To produce the best possible book, you need someone who is an accomplished and proven author. You also need an editor. I am both. I am published by Penguin US, one of the "Big Three" publishers in the world, and I run a successful editing service with a flawless reputation. I guarantee full confidentiality in every respect.
What I will NOT do:
- guarantee representation either by a Literary Agent or a Publishing House
- guarantee business success
- ghost write works intended for professional peer review or academic grading.
What Ghostwriting Costs
Unlike fees for regular Editing, Ghostwriting fees vary. The cost is determined through a variety of factors including the projected length of the finished work, the quality of materials supplied, and the amount of research required. A book takes from three to six months to complete and can cost anywhere from $8,000 to $50,000.
What Happens Next
After you decide you would like to work with me, we will meet for an interview. This can take place in person, or it can happen via phone, email, or other method. You will tell me what you want, and I'll ask questions like:
- What kind of book will we be writing? (novel, memoir, self-help, etc.)
- Why do you want to create this book?
- What message do you want to share with your readers?
- What do you expect to do with the book afterwards?
- Have you written anything so far on this project, and if so, how much? (# words)
- Will you need the entire book ghostwritten, or will it just require finishing / shaping?
The author (you) will send me all materials related to the story (rough drafts, notes, diary, research material, transcripts, tape recordings, lecture notes). I organize everything and send you a draft outline following the notes I've taken during our interview. Once you approve the outline, I begin ghostwriting the book. As I am working I will be in close contact, asking questions and making suggestions to help shape and develop your story to a deeper level. You will receive a draft copy of each chapter or section as it is completed, and I will expect comments and/or changes via e-mail. I will make revisions. Once all chapters are finished, you will receive the entire manuscript as a Word document for your review and approval.
