What an honour it is when an author entrusts me with her or his novel.
Among authors, manuscripts are often likened to "babies", and it takes a special kind of bravery to offer that baby up for close scrutiny.
When I send the finished product back, when I lay it gently in the author's arms, it is my responsibility to ensure they are thrilled with how it has grown while it was in my care.
I have been fortunate. I have had the opportunity to edit many wonderful novels, of all different genres, from all over the world. I love working with good books and am committed to helping make them great.

Who am I?

I am a lover of words, and I am an author.
My first novel, Under The Same Sky, will be published in January 2012 by Berkley Publishing,
a division of Penguin US.
Its companion, Sound of the Heart
will follow in May 2012.
I am honoured to be represented by

My family and I live in a quiet town on
the Eastern Shore of Nova Scotia.
I have a Bachelor of Music in Performance degree (oboe),
a Black Belt (in Chito Ryu karate),
and a decade of working in advertising/marketing/promotions.
I have an interest in Scottish history and have volunteered
for both the Calgary and the Halifax Highland Games, working with media.
I love to read just about anything, as long as it's written with passion,
and I really enjoy helping other authors with their work.
